Meritt Marks Memorial Meet
For many years the Orange Blossom Chapter of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club has sponsored a multi-day Winter Meet. A number of years ago the Meet became known as the “Meritt Marks Memorial Winter Meet” in honor of our HET Club’s wonderful and gracious Founding Father. PA Dutch Special Luncheon
Our chapter’s special lunch, celebrating Valentine’s Day with your loved ones, is fast approaching. The lunch will be at noon at the famous Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant and Smorgasbord at 2760 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505. This is the same place as last year’s Valentine’s lunch. The management has made special arrangements for our group including using the large overflow room.

Southern IN/KY Winter Meet
Larry and Sue Kennedy will host a joint Winter Meet with the Indy Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club and the Southern Indiana/Kentucky Chapter of the Hudson Club starting 1:00 PM EDST. This meet with be held at the Franklin Township Civic League, 8822 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239 (located two houses beyond the Ordinary in downtown Wanamaker). Hosts will provide a meat dish, water, coffee and iced tea. Bring your place settings and a dish or dessert to share. This facility is handicapped accessible and has a handicapped restroom, but no kitchen facilities. There are lots of electrical outlets for crockpots and plenty of parking spaces. Bear on the Square Meet
We will return for the annual meet arranged by hosts John and Becky Upchurch. The Bear on the Square Festival in historic Dahlonega features craft booths and numerous musical groups, and gives great public exposure to our Hudson cars parked right by the main street. The meet will be held at the Dine and Cruise in Daytona Beach. Address is Halifax Harbor Marina 125 Basin St. SUITE 140 Daytona Beach Fl, 32114. We must be there by 1 PM and we will set sail at 2:30. The costs for the men and guests is $29.95 each. This includes meal, cruise, parking and 15% gratuity. Spring Carlisle Swap & Auction
Spring Carlisle plays host to 100,000 collector and classic automotive enthusiasts from around the world who traverse the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds to buy, sell and celebrate all things automotive. This is a fun-filled weekend the entire family will enjoy. While exploring the grounds and 8,100 vending spaces, you will marvel at one of the largest automotive flea markets in the world. Carlisle is the place to purchase any of the 2,000 vehicles at the car corral and deal directly with the car owner to work out the best price. Spring Carlisle also offers a three-day collector car auction powered by Carlisle Auctions and this, in addition to the car corral, is a great way to start a new collection or add to an existing one; all at an affordable price point. The fairgrounds offers great fair-style food such as pizza, hot dogs, funnel cakes, ice cream, BBQ, crab cakes, kettle corn and much more! New Smithville, PA.
This event, hosted by Carl Billig will not only host our business meeting and a tour of a “Hudson Museum” called Bob’s Auto Orphanage in New Smithville, PA aarting at 11am. This private museum is owned by Bob Blake and there are Hudsons from wall to wall. There is an $8 admission fee. The tour will take about two hours followed by a late lunch at the Starlite Diner in Fogelsville, PA. President Keith Kerchner will be holding our annual chapter business meeting after dining. Southern IN/KY & Northern IN-OH Chapters Joint Crank-up meet
This Meet will be joint with the Northern Indiana-Ohio Chapter and hosted by Wesley and Sharon Fenton, beginning at 10:30 a.m., lunch served at noon EDST. Bring your Hudson, your lawn chair and your favorite covered dish or dessert. A meat dish and drinks will be provided. Children and collector cars are welcome. The location is the German Club Edelweiss, 531 E Wenger Rd, Englewood, OH 45322. The German Club has a great facility located off I-70 in Englewood, Ohio, which is about 100 miles east of Indianapolis. The German Club has an outside shelters and if the weather is bad, the clubhouse has been reserved for us. Annual Pontius Meet
Meet will be held at NATMUS Museum in Auburn, Indiana 10:00am to 5:00pm. Hosted at the National Automotive & Truck Museum, 1000 Gordon M. Buehrig Place, Auburn, IN 46706. Registration fee will be the group rate into the museum, $7 per adult. Meat and drinks provided, bring your favorite dish for a pot-luck lunch. Lunch will be served at noon. 46th Annual Meet of Southern IN/KY Chapter
Annual Meet will be held at Rick and Susan Crawley’s home, 6062 Logansport Road (old 24), Logansport, IN, Sunday, August 16, 2020, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Bring a dish to share, your Hudson or other collector car and lawn chairs. The Crawleys will provide the meat and drinks. They will display all of their collector cars. We will have our annual election of Officers and a business meeting. Crawley’s home is located 3 miles east of Logansport on old 24 (now Logansport Road), 8 miles west of Peru. There is a big yard, plenty of parking, shade and trailer parking. There are inexpensive hotels in the area. If you arrive on Saturday evening, plan on meeting at Rick and Susan’s by 6:00 PM to travel to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
